The prefabrication company, Plant Prefab, is packing its newest campaign series with fun. Amazon’s Alexa Fund is hitting the forefront, invading homes with a number of Alexa-powered devices. Each device, designed to make life a little easier, drives a slew of household amenities.
Plant Prefab’s Big Move
Many have wondered what an entirely Alexa-run house would look like. In the home building world, few things offer the creative capabilities of prefabrication. Plant Prefab has already garnered funds from several big-hitting investment companies. Obvious Ventures, for example, contributed $6.7 million to Plant Prefab in the name of environmental and social benefits.
The Amazon Alexa Fund, meanwhile, has been established by Jeff Bezos to grow the company’s innovative voice technology growth. By working with Amazon, Plant Prefab can utilize Alexa as part of its smart home technology strategy. They’ve designed prefab homes since 2016, jumping off from its Living Home property development foundation.
As the first American prefabrication factory which focuses on sustainability, Plant Prefab intends to reduce major city construction costs by 10 to 25 percent. It also aims to reduce overall construction time by 50 percent.
Incorporating Alexa
From televisions to clocks, Alexa-enabled devices are everywhere. Plant Prefab has a compelling portfolio of historical success with other businesses, too. These companies, alongside Plant Prefab, can make Alexa much more useful to customers—encouraging ongoing growth in the voice command world.
Currently, Plant Prefab is incorporating its ideas into small homes. This said, it plans to expand. It simply takes too much time, ordinarily, to build homes capable of hitting every design goal. Between construction delays, labor shortages, and higher annual construction costs, it can be difficult to meet industry and market challenges alike.
Amazon’s work with the home-builder, Lennar, sheds light on how effective Alexa-enabled gadgets can be. Outfitting model homes with Alexa-enabled gadgets, Lennar has boosted its understood versatility. Amazon’s “Experience Centers” persist inside these model houses across smart speakers, robot vacuums, media streamers, and security cameras.

Setting the Scene
Plant Prefab is paving the road to high-powered, flexible smart homes. While smart homes already exist, its focus on accessible design, low-cost builds, and ongoing growth is innovative enough to promote industry change.
Virtual assistants are fantastic home inclusions, but their feasibility has been a roadblock in the past. In high hopes, Plant Prefab, among others, will redefine household convenience. Where Amazon goes next, of course, is anyone’s guess.
